I placed it in my garage and start to experimenting and record the sounds with a cheap mic that also captured the space of this garage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd this is the result. \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e70’s Hammonds\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e contains 50 Hammond organ synths for Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2. Lo-Fi sounds with a generous touch of vintage saturation and much space to hug them. And all of them under the distinctive rich and rusty sound of a Hammond.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn those patches you could find some interesting variations especially for rock and lo-fi genres. They are all organs, based on the various Hammond Soundsources of Omnisphere 2 with the addition of distortion and\/or cheap reverbs. Retro sonic results deriving for the progressive rock era is what this soundbank has to do with.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 01\u003c\/span\u003e sounds nostalgic and emotional, \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 02\u003c\/span\u003e is a bit darker and dirtier, \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 03\u003c\/span\u003e has more saturation and rust. \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 10\u003c\/span\u003e has this classic Leslie like movement in the highs and \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 11\u003c\/span\u003e sounds like merging the 70’s and the 80’s within a Hammond. \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 12\u003c\/span\u003e is more 60’s focused and \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 18\u003c\/span\u003e is a plucky low fidelity organ with mid frequency tail.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 22\u003c\/span\u003e has rounder sound and\u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003e Hammond 23\u003c\/span\u003e mostly gives the sense of a church organ. \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003e31st patch\u003c\/span\u003e is more whimsical and weirder while \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 32\u003c\/span\u003e encloses a cheesy temper. \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 40\u003c\/span\u003e is a bit tricky and \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 41\u003c\/span\u003e is a toy organ. \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003e46th one\u003c\/span\u003e sounds more like an electric ballad piano and the \u003cspan style=\"color: #cb2026;\"\u003eHammond 47\u003c\/span\u003e is sweet and dreamful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor all patches the Mod Wheel adds vibrato which is perfectly fitting with the organic sound of the Hammond.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis soundbank has a specific goal deriving from the very characteristics of those instruments with their great history in many music genres, as well as the Lo-Fi character from the various eq, compressors, delays and reverbs that have been used. For most of presets the last device adds a movement between left and right places of the stereo field. A nice thing to experiment is to disable that and add a Leslie speaker emulation for even more “Hammondish” sonic results.
