CineDune Vol.4 - Dune 3
CineDune Vol.4 soundbank for Synapse Audio Dune 3 synth is part of our CineDune series that focuses on cinematic - soundtrack music.
 
It contains 20 classic sounding arps with movement that could also fit to electronic music styles.
 
One of the common features on most presets here is the volume modulation of the second oscillator with a MSEG. Having the modulation source on loop mode we have a repeated defined cycle where the second Oscillator coming in place within the overall sound, most of the times being tuned one octave higher than the main first OSC. This results in a classic sounding additional touch making the presets more interesting.
 
A nice example is the CineArp 65 preset where this movement transforms the synth string sound to an analog late 70s - early 80s synth when the OSC 2 is taking its place to the sound. For those presets the speed of the second OSC volume movement derives from the speed of the MSEG2. You could try slower or quicker loop cycles by adjusting the Rate Knob in the MSEG2 section
 
One good exception among others is the CineArp61 where the noise volume is modulated on a similar way bringing an instant dirty almost acid soundcolor.

Try to keep optimal levels of your synth tracks to avoid digital clipping from the synth’s output for the best sounding results and to avoid any potential equipment damage. While designing the sounds we try to keep at a good level but as the final level is a result of many different factors e.g., how many keys are pressed and with how much velocity always try to avoid digital clipping.

Using a limiter to ensure that no digital clipping occurs is recommended to keep equipment safe.
