Quadra Pads is a deep dive into the past with 100 pads for Cherry Audio Quadra Synth Vst. Genesis, Pink Floyd, John Carpenter and Tangerine Dream were the main influences behind this soundbank.

The pads here are not like usual pads, they are mainly built on more than 2 different modules each one with its unique contribution to the sounds. The main body of the sounds and what mainly add the characteristics of pads are the Polysynth and the Strings sections. Sometimes in the patches the Bass section and the Lead section are adding some new flavors. According to the keyzone where any of them are can be played – they could be used a) The bass as some nice bass lines that really fill the gap and b) the lead on the brighter side of the sound where add some extra dreamy dimension to the whole result.

So, in most of the presets we could add some melodic lines or some harmonic ones while the main body (the “pad”) is sounding in the line of time. There are patches which use only one section or other that don’t use bass or lead. Those one could be described as pads in a purest form.

The beautiful and distinctive character of the emulated synth is here and this is what makes this sonic journey exciting.

The presets fit for early electronic styles, synthwave and of course for 80’s based cinematic scores and I could say that they also shine in the 70’s prog rock field.

Presets were designed with QUADRA 1.4.0 (Build 79) and run best with this or newer edition

Please Note

Try to keep optimal levels of your synth tracks to avoid digital clipping from the synth’s output for the best sounding results and to avoid any potential equipment damage. While designing the sounds we try to keep at a good level but as the final level is a result of many different factors e.g., how many keys are pressed and with how much velocity always try to avoid digital clipping.

Using a limiter to ensure that no digital clipping occurs is recommended to keep equipment safe.
