You could find the Synth Presets walkthrough video below

Eerie Atmospheres for Xfer Serum synth is an atmospheric soundbank consisting of 30 long synths. Its sounds could be used in a variety of music styles from cinematic to rock and from electronica to ambient, when the creation of some haunting, out of this world, atmosphere is the desired goal.

Most of the sounds rely on the mid and high frequencies of the sound spectrum, to  emphasize the mysterious aspects of the sonic dimension. Also the 4th macro is assigned to the multiband compression of Serum, where its settings mainly amplify the mid frequencies, to add more musicality if needed.

A nice experimentation to those sounds is to modify the main modulation source LFO rate with another LFO and add variety to the rate of the modulated targets and add new interesting elements – most of the time unexpected.

Here you could find some haunted choirs like Atmosphere 17 preset, where above the haunted choir the LFO adds some pitch modulation. You could also find some textured sounds like Atmosphere 18 which is mostly a weird moving atmosphere rather than a conventional melodic synth. A nice different preset is the Shepard like sounding Atmosphere 24.

The 4 macros are assigned to Reverb (Space) mix knob , Delay mix knob, Chorus and the 4th one to the Compressor (which is mainly uses for artistic reason). MW adds vibrato which mainly works as a small moving atmospheric element rather than the classic vibrato.

Presets were designed with Serum v1.351 and run better with this or newer version

Please Note

Try to keep optimal levels of your synth tracks to avoid digital clipping from the synth’s output for the best sounding results and to avoid any potential equipment damage. While designing the sounds we try to keep at a good level but as the final level is a result of many different factors e.g., how many keys are pressed and with how much velocity always try to avoid digital clipping.

Using a limiter to ensure that no digital clipping occurs is recommended to keep equipment safe.
