Melancholic 80s Synth Presets for Arturia CS-80 V4

Inverted City follows the contours of a familiar place made strange, where memories seem to move in reverse and every melody carries a trace of distance. This soundbank of 30 Arturia CS-80 V4 presets draws on the emotional colors of vintage analog synthesis, shifting between tender, wistful phrases and darker, dramatic tones.

Soft-edged synth voices bring a sweet, reflective quality to restrained melodies, while more urgent sounds lend weight to passages shaped by powerful emotions. Elsewhere, atmospheric layers unfold through gentle modulation, subtle pitch drift, and wavering tonal movement, recalling the unstable warmth of classic 1980s synthesizer recordings. Rather than following one mood, the collection travels from quiet longing to cinematic tension, keeping its retro identity throughout.

Inverted City can provide melodic themes, expressive harmonies, transitional textures, and evocative electronic accents. Its nostalgic timbres suit vintage electronic arrangements, and 80s-inspired instrumental music, especially when a composition calls for melancholic color or the sensation of a half-remembered city. The included Analog Lab V versions bring the same sound palette into Arturia's preset-browsing environment.
