Vintage Synth Pads with Dark Cinematic Character

Time Apart is a collection of 25 vintage-inspired synth pad presets for Cherry Audio Memorymode V2, drawing on the distinctive analog character of the legendary synthesizer it emulates. The soundbank explores the darker, more atmospheric side of vintage synthesis, combining rich harmonic textures with a nostalgic cinematic identity.

Gloomy, saturated soundscapes, warm polyphonic layers, gently shifting synthesizer tones, and organic ambient textures shape the collection's sonic direction. Deep analog-style pads carry a sense of melancholy, while modulated timbres introduce subtle rhythmic movement and evolving tonal colors. Other presets evoke retro science-fiction soundtracks through mysterious harmonies, spacious backgrounds, and the unmistakable warmth of classic synthesizer architecture.

Exploring the Sounds of Time Apart

The collection moves between shadowy atmospheric pads, textured analog washes, and expressive synthetic landscapes. Saturated harmonics create a dense vintage presence, while slow modulation brings fluid motion to sustained notes. Organic ambient elements offer softer, introspective colors, contrasting with darker sci-fi textures and emotionally charged polyphonic sounds.

These Memorymode V2 presets are particularly suited to retro cinematic scoring, vintage electronic music, space rock, progressive rock, dark ambient, and atmospheric synthesizer compositions, providing a varied palette of nostalgic moods and evolving sonic environments.
