Overview - Octave Guitar Tone Effects

The Octaver pack explores the creative potential of pitch effects within Neural DSP Archetype: Gojira X, shaping a collection of 8 distinct presets built around the octaver module. Each tone approaches low-frequency manipulation in a different way, offering a wide palette for slow, heavy, and expressive metal performances.

From the atmospheric experimentation of “Octaver of Chaos” to the sci-fi, futuristic darkness of “Octaver of Tomorrow”, the pack moves across different tonal identities while maintaining a consistent focus on depth and musicality. “Savage Octaver” introduces a dense, raw character suited for slow doom riffing, while “Silent Octaver” leans into a stoner-inspired gloom with a more restrained but still very heavy weight.

“Creeping Octaver” delivers an intentionally rough and low-register tone, emphasizing a more unconventional texture. “Low Talking Octaver” is designed for experimental passages, adding a unique quality to slow riffs and transitions. “Muddy Octaver” enhances the sense of thickness and saturation, and “Octaver in Well” brings a spatial dimension that expands the sound into a more ambient direction.

These presets are particularly suited for genres such as doom metal, sludge, stoner rock, and experimental metal, where slower tempos and tonal character play a central role. The overall mood ranges from dark and heavy to abstract and atmospheric, giving flexibility across different compositional approaches. In some of them the Pitch Shifter Pedal is enabled to use it and control the pitch bending amount.
